Name
Pfenning's Organic Vegetables
What We Do
Pfenning’s Organic Vegetable Farm has been growing certified organic vegetables in Ontario since 1981. Located between New Hamburg and Baden, the farm spans over 700 acres and produces more than 40 varieties of vegetables (+ strawberries!) including carrots, leafy greens, brassicas, squash, and root crops suited to the region.
Soil health drives everything on the farm. Compost, cover crops, and crop rotation support a living soil system that improves nutrient availability, water retention, and crop resilience. It also contributes to the longevity of the end product, and the stand-out flavour we are known for.
In addition to on-farm production, Pfenning’s packs and distributes fruits and veggies for other Ontario certified organic growers, helping bring a wider range of organic food to market.
To support year-round supply and stable employment, the farm also runs an import program. This fills seasonal gaps and provides products that cannot be grown locally, while maintaining full organic certification and traceability back to the field of origin.
We service approximately 200 clients including local independent grocers, national grocery chains, national and international processors, and distributors across Canada. Our excellent service and commitment to quality is what keeps clients coming back. What really sets us apart is the fact that we empower consumers to make a positive impact on their communities and the environment with every bite!
